Seattle has a vibrant world music scene and hosts tons of world music and dance events. If a show includes drums and rhythm and authentic cultural expressions of joy, then I'll probably be there. I'm particularly drawn to the music of West Africa and her diaspora in Latin America, but I also love Celtic music, Middle Eastern, klezmer, gamelan, the emerging street-band phenomenon, as well as the creative fusion of any and all of the above with each other or with jazz, rock, or other traditions (that is, I reserve the right to list pretty much anything that tickles my fancy on this page).
