Mawungira Enharira: Traditional Mbira Music from Zimbabwe This award-winning group of African musicians is recognized in their own country as mbira masters. They perform astonishingly beautiful music on instruments that are thought to have originated 1,000 years ago. Mawungira Enharira means Echoes of Nharira, named for the sacred Nharira (watchtower) mountains in the village of Norton, where the group originates.
