Johnny Jetpack Propulsion Labs
Many of the the most important scientific and artistic advances in Seattle happen in the Johnny Jetpack Propulsion Labs. This leading-edge facility has pioneered dozens of history-altering innovations, including the eponymous Johnny Jetpack, Cordless Screwdriver Breakdancing, Johnny Bird Man, Johnny Goo Goo, and of course the infamous Giant Man-Eating Squirrel. Working with liquid nitrogen, lasers, compressed air, and ordinary household materials, JJPL Chief Scientist Nathan Arnold creates fantastic shows for fans of all ages. Nathan’s day job is as a Seattle stone mason and concrete artist.
I am proud to be affiliated with the JJPL, serving there as webmaster and occasionally as videographer and video editor.
I wrote a story many years ago about my first encounter with Johnny Jetpack.
