I worked for many years in book publishing, mostly as a college-textbook editor, marketing manager, and sales rep, but also as an independent publisher, publishing educator, industry maven, and computer-systems expert. I worked at St. Martin’s Press, The Dushkin Publishing Group, Prentice-Hall, and Benjamin/Cummings.
After discovering the internet in 1988 and developing some computing and internet skills, I made the transition from print publishing to online publishing in 1996, and I haven’t looked back.
